Meet your driver at your hotel in Hikkaduwa, Galle, Unawatuna, Ahangama, Mirissa, or Hirikatiya and travel comfortably in a private air-conditioned vehicle toward Tissamaharama / Yala.
Switch to your private 4x4 safari jeep as the gates open at dawn—the peak active time for leopards, sloth bears, and elephants. Follow your guide and use your complimentary Yala Wildlife Booklet to spot and identify key species.
Pause during the midday heat at a designated scenic spot inside the park buffer or beach area to enjoy a delicious Jungle Lunch surrounded by nature.
Head back out as temperatures cool and wildlife gathers around lagoons and waterholes. Look out for mugger crocodiles, herds of spotted deer, wild buffalo, peacocks, and eagles before exiting the park at sunset.
